Basketball Game Preview: Ganesha Giants vs. Baldwin Park Braves

Ganesha is 0-3 against Baldwin Park since December of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Ganesha Giants just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Baldwin Park Braves at 6:30 p.m.

Ganesha played against Harbor Teacher and lost via forfeit.

Baldwin Park took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 38-27 victory over Arroyo Valley.

Ganesha better keep an eye on Randle Tebo. He was instrumental in Baldwin Park's win, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 16 boards. With that strong performance, Tebo is now averaging an impressive 9 rebounds per game. Eric Avila was another key player, putting up 11 points and eight rebounds.

Baldwin Park smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Ganesha is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11. As for Baldwin Park, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5.

Ganesha lost to Baldwin Park on the road by a decisive 69-51 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2019. Can Ganesha avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
