Softball Recap: Spring Creek Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sparks last Saturday, Spring Creek came back down to earth. Spring Creek came up short against the Dayton Dust Devils on Friday, falling 11-1. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Spring Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MacKenzie Morfin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Morfin has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Spring Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Dayton, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

While Spring Creek had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
