Volleyball Recap: St. Francis Gets the Win

St. Francis picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Hmong American Peace Academy 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mariners.

Heidi Gottfredsen-Kromke paced St. Francis' offense, picking up six kills. Gottfredsen-Kromke got some help from Sophia Busack and her eight assists. Busack was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

St. Francis' victory bumped their record up to 5-17. As for Hmong American Peace Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

St. Francis has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Milwaukee Reagan on the 4th. As for Hmong American Peace Academy, they will face off against Eastbrook Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hmong American Peace Academy is facing Eastbrook Academy at the right time seeing as Eastbrook Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
