Waterloo fell victim to Kirtland and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 8-0.

Waterloo has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12-1 record this season. As for Kirtland, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 8-6-3.
