Baseball Recap: Lake Highland Prep Wins Going Away Against Windermere Prep

Lake Highland Prep never got on the board in their matchup last Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Windermere Prep on Thursday. They blew past the Lakers 12-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-2 back in February.

Alex Khalil was incredible, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for Lake Highland Prep: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 7-11 otherwise. Clark Zerba also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Lake Highland Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Windermere Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Lake Highland Prep has already played their next match, an 8-2 defeat against Satellite on the 4th. As for Windermere Prep, they are taking a road trip to face off against Foundation Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
