Pioneer lost against Fredonia back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Hillbillies by a score of 7-6. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Fredonia, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pioneer will take on Amherst Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fredonia, they will square off against Frontier at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hillbillies are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
