Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Somerset). They came out on top against the Zapata Hawks by a score of 8-4 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

The team relied heavily on Izabella Sanchez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. She also brought in two RBI, marking her first of the season. Karlet Sanchez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Somerset now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Zapata, they now have a losing record of 4-5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somerset will be taking part in a tournament against Poth at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Zapata, they will square off against Andrews at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
