Soccer Game Preview: Bridges Prep vs. Battery Creek

The Bridges Prep Buccaneers will head out on the road to take on the Battery Creek Dolphins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bridges Prep knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Battery Creek likes a good challenge.

Bridges Prep's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Charleston Collegiate. It was an even better day for Khloe Conner as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 goals the game before, Battery Creek was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They fell just short of Hanahan by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for Battery Creek in their meetings with Hanahan: they've now lost four in a row.

Bridges Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 82 goals over those nine contests. As for Battery Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Everything went Bridges Prep's way against Battery Creek when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Bridges Prep made off with a 5-0 victory. Will the Buccaneers repeat their success, or do the Dolphins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
