DeLaSalle waltzed into their game on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They claimed a resounding 72-32 victory over the Kennedy Eagles. Given the Islanders' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Eagles are ranked 204th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

DeLaSalle's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.4 points over those games. As for Kennedy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.

DeLaSalle will be playing at home against Visitation at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Visitation knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully DeLaSalle likes a good challenge. As for Kennedy, they will head out to square off against Columbia Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy is facing Columbia Heights at the right time seeing as Columbia Heights is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
