Baseball Game Preview: Riverside Bulldogs vs. Underwood Eagles

Riverside is 0-10 against Underwood since June of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will host the Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

Riverside is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Audubon.

Meanwhile, Underwood put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Tri-Center. The two-run effort marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Underwood pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Riverside suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Underwood in their previous matchup back in June of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
