Softball Recap: Windsor Makes It Four in a Row at Home

After losing to Napa the last time they met, Windsor decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Jaguars walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Grizzlies on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

The team relied heavily on Taylor Ford, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Demi Lagourgue was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Windsor pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Napa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor will venture away from home to square off against Maria Carrillo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pumas have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Napa, they will head out on the road to challenge Sonoma Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
