West is 9-1 against Clifton since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The West Trojans will face off against the Clifton Cubs at 6:15 p.m.

West's tournament run continued when they took on Belton on Saturday. West was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 38-37 to Belton.

Meanwhile, Clifton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Greyhounds by a score of 46-37.

West better focus on containing Brystel Wise and Avary Woosley as the pair were huge in Clifton's win. Wise went 5 of 9 on her way to 10 points, while Woosley posted ten points. Woosley is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Delilah Martinez, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

Clifton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for West, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

West strolled past Clifton in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 45-28. Does West have another victory up their sleeve, or will Clifton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
