Basketball Recap: Superior Comes Up Short

If Superior was feeling good fresh off their 58-33 takedown of Troy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Superior Bobcats received a blow on Friday as they fell 49-32 to the St. Ignatius Bulldogs. The match marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Superior's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for St. Ignatius, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Thompson Falls the next time they take the court. Superior will host Thompson Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, while St. Ignatius will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
