Recap: Clear Lake Falcons vs. Crosby Cougars
Even though the Crosby Cougars scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, the Clear Lake Falcons still came out on top. Clear Lake took their game against Crosby 68-58. Given Clear Lake's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Crosby is ranked 850th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jason Obert, who scored 23 points along with 5 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Clear Lake's points. Jerrick Guidry was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 3 steals.
Clear Lake's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Crosby, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
Clear Lake will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Glenn at 5:30 p.m. on December 1st. As for Crosby, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ball at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Ball will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
