Recap: Wister Wildcats vs. Duncan Demons

It was a good run, but Wister unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Duncan Demons by a score of 5-4. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Wister has scored all season.

Jayden Byars was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Byars was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Will Bryan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wister fell to 4-1. As for Duncan, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wister will challenge Idabel at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Duncan, they will head out on the road to take on Claremore at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
