Cross is 3-0 against Thomas Heyward Academy since January of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Cross Stingrays will be playing in front of their home fans against the Thomas Heyward Academy Rebels at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cross has four straight wins, Thomas Heyward Academy has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Thursday, Cross earned a 47-40 victory over Hilton Head Prep.

Ryan Mayers was her usual excellent self, going 8 for 14 en route to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. She is becoming a predictor of Cross' success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 8-3 (and 5-6 when she doesn't). Sydney Hollings was another key player, putting up ten points along with six boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Thomas Heyward Academy played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 51-21 defeat at the hands of Andrew Jackson Academy.

Cross is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Thomas Heyward Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
