Baseball Recap: Gooding Comes Up Short

Gooding lost against Kimberly back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Senators fell 6-2 to the Bulldogs.

Gooding saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Mendoza, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Gooding's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Kimberly, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Gooding will face off against Filer at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Senators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Kimberly, they will venture away from home to square off against Fruitland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
