Blacksburg is a perfect 3-0 against Abingdon since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Blacksburg will venture away from home to take on Abingdon at 7:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Blacksburg had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the nine-goal drubbing they dealt Radford on Thursday. Blacksburg never let Radford get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. It was an even better day for Piper Berger as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Abingdon made easy work of Honaker on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for Abingdon in their matchups with Honaker: they've now won four in a row.

Blacksburg's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Abingdon, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything went Blacksburg's way against Abingdon in their previous matchup back in March of 2017, as Blacksburg made off with a 6-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blacksburg since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
