Recap: Central Wildcats vs. Cherokee County Warriors
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Central Wildcats can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Cherokee County on Thursday, falling 56-28. Central's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Jacob Cornejo was a one-man wrecking crew for Cherokee County as he rushed for 312 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 17.3 yards per carry. Cornejo is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Cherokee County, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cherokee County also has no future games currently scheduled.
