Softball Recap: Foster Drops Season-High Score on Renton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Foster). They blew past the Renton Red Hawks 26-16 on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Foster let Princess Noa and A'Mya Johnson run wild. Noa got on base in all six of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, five runs, and three RBI, while Johnson got on base in four of her six plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave Johnson a new career-high. Samantha Harwood was another key player, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.

Foster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .769. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Foster's win bumped their record up to 3-14. As for Renton, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Foster does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Renton, they will take on Hazen at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Highlanders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 21.06 runs per game on average), something the Red Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
