Baseball Recap: Three Rivers Wildcats vs. Plainwell Trojans

After flying high against Dowagiac on Saturday, Three Rivers came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Plainwell Trojans by a score of 10-9 on Tuesday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Three Rivers got a massive performance out of Mason Awe, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Brady Penny was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Three Rivers' defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Plainwell, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

While Three Rivers had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
