Softball Recap: Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Academy of Our Lady

Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Academy of Our Lady Penguins by a score of 5-2 on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly three runs.

Ashtyn Rogers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alyvia Palmisano was excellent, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
