Basketball Game Preview: North Fort Myers Red Knights vs. Immokalee Indians

The North Fort Myers Red Knights will challenge the Immokalee Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Immokalee took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on North Fort Myers, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, North Fort Myers turned things around against Riverdale on Tuesday. They managed a 47-41 victory over the Raiders.

Meanwhile, Immokalee came up short against Barron Collier on Thursday and fell 69-56. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 379th, while the Cougars are ranked 171st).

North Fort Myers' win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Immokalee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

North Fort Myers took a serious blow against Immokalee when the teams last played back in February of 2022, falling 67-39. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Immokalee's Gilbert Charles, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds.
