Basketball Recap: Colin Chesnut's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Homefires over Mishawaka Homeschool W

Homefires was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 57-42 to the Mishawaka HomeSchool W Wildcats.

Homefires lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Colin Chesnut, who to rack up 22 points along with eight boards and three steals. The contest was his tenth in a row with at least 16 points. Jeremiah Davis was another key player, putting up 13 points.

AZARYAH JONES had an outrageously good game for Mishawaka HomeSchool W as he on his way to 18 points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. JONES is becoming a predictor of Mishawaka HomeSchool W's success: when he posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 7-24 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of HUDSON BARTH, who posted ten points along with five assists and five boards.

Homefires' defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Mishawaka HomeSchool W, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-24 record this season.

Homefires does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mishawaka HomeSchool W, they have already played their next game, a 51-34 win against Varsity Opponent on the 21st.
