Elgin waltzed into their matchup on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Everything went their way against the Altus Bulldogs as they made off with a 10-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Owls, who have now won 15 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Ritson Meyer was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 11 games. Another player making a difference was Kade Hilliary, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Elgin pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Altus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-6.

Elgin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
