Immanuel got themselves on the board against Central Valley Christian on Friday, but Central Valley Christian never followed suit. They blew past the Cavaliers 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Amanda Herrera, who gave up just two hits and racked up six Ks to keep Central Valley Christian off the board. Herrera has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Natalia Delgadillo was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Camdyn Efird, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Immanuel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Valley Christian only posted an OBP of .158.
Immanuel has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Central Valley Christian, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-13.
