On Thursday, Oak Mountain faced Auburn in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Oak Mountain Eagles never let the Auburn Tigers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The Eagles' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Oak Mountain's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four matches. As for Auburn, they moved to 6-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
