Baseball Recap: Fletcher Comes Up Short

Fletcher came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 9-3 to the Comanche Indians. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Indians when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fletcher saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Mahan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one triple, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Mahan a new career-high.

Fletcher has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. Comanche's victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Fletcher has already played their next matchup, a 19-2 win against Duke on the 24th. As for Comanche, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-1 defeat against Lone Grove on the 24th.
