Basketball Game Preview: Spaulding Crimson Tide vs. Randolph Ghosts

The Spaulding Crimson Tide are taking a road trip to face off against the Randolph Ghosts at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Spaulding will be strutting in after a victory while Randolph will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Spaulding blew past Lyndon Institute, posting a 56-12 win. That looming 56-12 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Crimson Tide yet this season.

Meanwhile, Randolph lost to Lyndon Institute on the road by a 49-35 margin on Saturday. The Ghosts have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Spaulding is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points over those games. Randolph now has a losing record of 8-9.

Everything went Spaulding's way against Randolph when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Spaulding made off with a 51-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spaulding since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
