Basketball Game Preview: Marquette Catholic Explorers vs. Greenville Comets

The Marquette Catholic Explorers will square off against the Greenville Comets at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Marquette Catholic saw some tournament action on Thursday. They snuck past Roxana with a 53-49 victory.

Meanwhile, Greenville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Nokomis on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 30-26 win. That's two games straight that the Comets have won by exactly four points.

Greenville is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Marquette Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Marquette Catholic didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Greenville in their previous matchup back in February of 2019, but they still walked away with a 44-40 win.
