Baseball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

Meridian's last matchup with Mount Vernon could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Trojans lost 12-2 to the Bulldogs. The Trojans have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Meridian now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Mount Vernon, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Coming up, Meridian will square off against Anacortes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Seahawks will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mount Vernon, they will face off against Mt. Baker at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Mountaineers at the right time seeing as the Mountaineers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
