Baseball Recap: Bayonne Comes Up Short

Bayonne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-5 to the Union Catholic Vikings.

Bayonne now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Union Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bayonne will head out to take on Nutley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Union Catholic, they will challenge Elizabeth at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Minutemen's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
