If Choctaw County was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Aberdeen on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers fell just short of the Winona Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Chargers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Choctaw County's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-6-1. As for Winona, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

While Choctaw County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
