Volleyball Recap: Abbotsford Comes Up Short

Abbotsford was the 2-0 winner over Wausau East when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell just short of the Lumberjacks by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Celia Schindler paced Abbotsford's offense, picking up 13 kills. Schindler got some help from Faith Sperl and her 22 assists. Sperl also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Caylee Clement, racking up four apiece.

Abbotsford's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Wausau East, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Abbotsford will take on Ladysmith in a tournament on Saturday. As for Wausau East, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Marshfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Lumberjacks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
