Softball Game Preview: Greenwood Rangers vs. Colorado Wolves

Greenwood is 1-7 against Colorado since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rangers will take on the Wolves at 5:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Greenwood didn't have quite enough to beat Fort Stockton and fell 10-9.

Greenwood got a big performance out of Brylee Savage, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Millie Wilkinson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Colorado came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolves have posted since February 13th.

Bryanna Munoz was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Taelynn Oden, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Greenwood now has a losing record of 14-15-1. As for Colorado, their victory bumped their record up to 21-7-1.

Greenwood skirted past Colorado 8-6 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
