Baseball Recap: Avery County Vikings vs. Patton Panthers
Avery County lost against Patton back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings came up short against the Panthers, falling 16-6. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Luke Wallace made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Avery County's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Patton, they moved to 8-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
Coming up, Avery County will take on Mountain Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Patton, they will square off against Polk County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
