Basketball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland lost against Madison back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Highland Rams lost 60-40 to the Madison Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while the Bobcats are ranked 16th).

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Madison, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland will head out to square off against Thunder Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison, they will venture away from home to face off against Rigby at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
