Volleyball Game Preview: Pewaukee Pirates vs. Waukesha North Northstars

The Pewaukee Pirates will head out to face off against the Waukesha North Northstars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pewaukee is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wisconsin's top teams: Oconomowoc, who was ranked second at the time (Pewaukee was ranked 16th). The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Raccoons on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Raccoons: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Waukesha North lost 3-0 to New Berlin West on Tuesday.

While Waukesha North was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 26-24, 25-19.

Waukesha North's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Pewaukee, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.

Everything went Pewaukee's way against Waukesha North when the teams last played back in October of 2020, as Pewaukee made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
