Volleyball Recap: Rockland Bulldogs vs. Weymouth Wildcats
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Norwell, Rockland was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Weymouth Wildcats 3-2.
Rockland took Weymouth into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 28-26, 25-20, 21-25, 15-7.
Despite the loss, Weymouth still got an impressive performance from Jayla Negron, who had five digs and three aces.
Rockland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Weymouth, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockland will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against East Bridgewater at 5:15 p.m. East Bridgewater will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Rockland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Weymouth, they will venture away from home to take on Needham at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
