Spring Creek is 8-2 against Lowry since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Buckaroos at 7:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Spring Creek has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Lowry will arrive with three straight wins.

Spring Creek is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Churchill County on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Spartans had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Greenwave. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lowry was able to grind out a solid victory over South Tahoe on Friday, taking the game 23-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Buckaroos' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 32nd in Nevada, while the Vikings are ranked 480th in California).

Lowry's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Spring Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Spring Creek took their victory against Lowry in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 54-34 score. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Buckaroos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
