Volleyball Recap: Meigs Takes a Loss

Meigs lost against Athens back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Marauders lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. The Marauders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meigs took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-19, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Meigs still got an impressive performance from Marlee Laudermilt, who had 14 digs. Laudermilt is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Meigs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Athens, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Meigs has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Eastern on the 20th. As for Athens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Gallia Academy on the 18th.
