Volleyball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland lost against Skyline back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Highland fell 3-1 to Skyline. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-13 in the first set.

Highland started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 13-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-16.

Skyline was led to victory by Kai Carlton and Mars Killen. Carlton had nine digs and one assist, while Killen had seven kills, four aces, and three digs. That's the most aces Killen has posted over his last 11 games.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Skyline, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 4-10 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Highland will square off against rival Olympus at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Skyline is set to take on their familiar foe West at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
