Preview: Maxwell Panthers vs. Los Molinos Bulldogs
The Maxwell Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Los Molinos Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maxwell is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
Maxwell lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They took a serious blow against Biggs, falling 72-32. Maxwell was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-19.
Even though Los Molinos has not done well against Hamilton recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Los Molinos walked away with a 50-42 win over Hamilton. The win was just what Los Molinos needed coming off of a 80-55 loss in their prior contest.
The match pitted two key players against one another: Karson Fox and Kayden Strong. Fox had a great game and dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Meanwhile, Strong did his best for the losing side, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Maxwell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Los Molinos, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.
Maxwell and Los Molinos were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but Maxwell came up empty-handed after a 53-52 defeat. Can Maxwell avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
