Baseball Recap: Timber Creek Makes It Eight in a Row at Home

Timber Creek won against Trinity last Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Falcons' pitchers stepped up to hand the Trojans a 10-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-3 last Tuesday.

Cayden Sowden tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chance Bedford, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zack Wanoreck, who went 1-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Timber Creek's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Trinity, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5-2.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3.3, the Indians 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
