Basketball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

If Heritage was riding high fresh off their 51-27 takedown of Phoebus last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Heritage Hurricanes were outmatched by the Woodside Wolverines and fell 65-19. The loss continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now lost five in a row.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Woodside, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hampton Roads Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodside, they will welcome Lake Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
