Volleyball Recap: H&H Falls Despite Big Games from Ava Hurt and Jaylah Gross

H&H was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cross County Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

Jaylah Gross and Ava Hurt certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Gross had 12 digs and one assist, while Hurt had nine assists and three digs.

Cross County found their leader in sophomore Finley Peterson, who had five digs and five aces.

H&H's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Cross County, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 11-5.

H&H has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Tri County on the 30th. As for Cross County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against St. Cecilia on the 30th.
