Rockledge is 8-2 against Cocoa since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Rockledge Raiders will challenge the Cocoa Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Rockledge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 61-57 to Viera. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while the Hawks are ranked 67th).

Rockledge might have lost, but man, Damien Bryant was a machine: he shot 6-for-11 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. Rockledge is 13-6 when Bryant posts eight or more rebounds, but 1-3 otherwise. Conlan Oakley was another key player, putting up 14 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Meanwhile, Cocoa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 60-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Viera.

Cocoa's record is now 8-13. As for Rockledge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.

Everything came up roses for Rockledge against Cocoa in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 76-31 victory. Does Rockledge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cocoa turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
