Volleyball Recap: Columbine's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Columbine didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Imperial Tigers by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Rebels as they're now sitting on three straight.

Taylor Speir paced Columbine's offense, picking up eight kills. Speir got some help from Eva Chapman and her 11 assists. Speir was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Columbine's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Imperial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Columbine has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against East Central on the 30th. As for Imperial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Calipatria on the 2nd.
