Barbers Hill had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Weiss Wolves on Saturday, sneaking past 34-31. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won six games in a row.

Barbers Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brady Barrier led the charge by throwing for 238 yards and one TD, while also rushing for 33 yards and one touchdown. The Eagles also relied on Barrier, who's 45-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game. 85 of Barrier's passing yards were hauled in by Tripp Davis.

Barbers Hill's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out Jaxon Schad four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Colby Morgan got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Weiss saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Mcpeak forced one fumble and made 14 total tackles.

Barbers Hill's record is now 10-3. As for Weiss, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-3 record.

Looking ahead, Barbers Hill will take on Port Arthur Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans' defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. Weiss does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
