Softball Recap: Dillon Christian Warriors vs. Marlboro Academy Dragons
Dillon Christian hadn't done well against Marlboro Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Dillon Christian Warriors never let the Marlboro Academy Dragons get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Warriors have won three matches by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Lilli Shooter was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Molly Andrews was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Story Lane, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one double.
